If you ever got some carbon copy documents that needs electronic transition, the default scanner software can readily help you. Of course, GNU/Linux isn't programmed to register button commands from external devices off the bat. Still, its strength in software allows the software method to function high well in terms of compatibility (or so I thought).

Once again, I mentioned Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Legacy. It is said to be a free and compatible game, but the media is not yet free. This time, I was able to get the bots and the online maps working in offline/singleplayer mode. I guess I could configure my own server. Still, there's plenty left to be desired. Bot AI could have commands like in UT99. Might make the experience better. Maybe stretch the weapons/items roster for each class a bit? Wouldn't mind a trade off cost for custom selection. At least it isn't a account requirement, just a nick or profile. How_to_Enable_Omnibot_and_Custom_Maps_for_S....txt (5.39 KB)

Finally! A linux supported program that resembles the functional simplicity and genius user interface of MSPaint itself! It's called KolourPaint. Yeah, sounding like colour, as in french. Hey, french art can be quite artisan. No more GIMP bloated fotoshop alternative loading and etc! Can't say if the download methods are user convenient enough though...

There's a Smokin' Guns fps game (theme is wild west), but I have a bit of trouble working on its 32-bit executable on the 64-bit platform. I guess development has been staggering. Wine operation seems to be acceptable.

There is this program called Clocks. Found it as a default program. It has a timer alarm system. The sound is a beep. However, the sound is a high pitched beep. Maybe it's a bit quiet reserved for a professional/general setting. Still, the pitch is quite sharp if not disruptive enough.

Oh, Jesus Christ, I revamped the system to a bare and it appears that my favorite browser is going primitive/paranoid mode. Looks like my workaround was in place in the first place!

I guess you can't have it all. I'm trying IceCat instead of Firefox. So far, some things don't go through. Images referenced blocked. Something about non-freedom scripts being blocked. Something something... hmm...
It was a bit of a hassle to get this program running on startup and panel button, but viewing the other browser configurations allow me to succeed with ease.
I admit that there are a bit of waiting signal on mouse icon problem and that I didn't activate the Tor network connection, but as far as I know, it's something to work with. Yes, I still believe that the Tor network is not as private or secure as one would think!

After testing, I have found out that the Chromium, while not Chrome itself, is a pretty good substitute in terms of more privacy/security. It's a pretty good bet in terms of media stuff usually for Chrome. Still, it isn't the most paranoid secure browser possible. Do apply the necessary anti-tracker/cookies and user-agent switcher/manager browser extensions if applicably possible. I need to ask questions for extension effectiveness.

These days, people of the related interest are flinging around the idea of using PGP and things like that. I guess I will have to explore the concepts of this PGP. I heard it was somehow for email message verification. However, an email attachment is required. But what if the attachment of the PGP file is actually a virus?! Oh my!

Before I get onto the PGP, I also read about the QR codes and scanner apps. QR codes and scanner apps are no different from being vulnerable. Usually, they are written off as a authentication method, but how can one know if the code/app server is hacked, with the hacked redirection leading to cyberattacks? Even if the code is secured, a new change of code is all it takes. Who would take their time to read each pixel by pixel? Maybe the security analyst would.
That's all I can say. Quite vague subjects.

Yet, as any maestro would attest, harmony extends beyond individual virtuosity mlsdev.com/blog/hire-app-developer. Cultural resonance becomes the key signature that guides the composition. Just as instruments must harmonize, developers must seamlessly blend into the existing team, contributing not just their code but their ethos. Seek the developers whose rhythm matches that of your organization, transforming collaboration into a sonnet rather than just a transaction.

Nothing new, but it's good to see a refresher for any left worth refreshing. easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.com/p/security.html#ID1.1Just another warning about AVs, windows/wine, and java in general. I personally don't follow up on every word noted on the page. No license, no validation.

Okay guys, time for some depressing belated news. Get ready for it! Ian Murdock, the founder of Debian OS, has died on December 28, 2015. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Murdockmoney.cnn.com/2016/07/06/technology/ian-murdock-suicide/index.htmlIt all started with an incident with a supposedly drunk programmer attempting a break-in of a neighbor's residence. The cops had to subdue him in his altered state. According to the neighbors, Murdock recently broken up with his girlfriend and his house was being evicted at the end of the month as well. Pretty suspicious circumstances. I wonder if the neighbor sabotaged or tampered with Murdock's life before things go downhill. I mean, this dude is Debian's founder among other technological achievements! It's like he might have got robbed/trespassed due to the high possibility of exposure. According to police records, Murdock died from suicide as being strangled by a vacuum cleaner electrical cord. The autopsy records say he also got bruises from chest, abdomen, back, arms and legs. I can't say if the neighbor has anything to do with it, but considering Murdock's background in the programming field, I'm sure there are other corporate competitors looking for the same share of success as him. It's a real tough world, that's all I got to say.

I don't know, but there was a recent joke image that recalls Ian Murdock. The image is not initially funny because I don't know the guy, but his product (should have) inspired plenty of OS. He did a altruistic good deed, maybe in a blind light, but still altruistic enough. It is pretty much of a downer to see a person with enough publicity exposure to possibly die from it. His last work was Docker, a service that supposedly provides virtualization of OS software. There might be speculation that this service would be used for other Linux OS and that proprietary vendor lock-in business models may have a interest in Docker. I can't prove such claims, but the possibilities have potential reality.
One has to pause and think about just walking in strides and making unproven assumptions. This fact would have been quite true for those in a similar situation.

More than the response. More of system configurations.
There is system firmware, and then there's microprocessor firmware. There are security patches from time to time. I tried to get the fix done, but to no avail. My attempt to revert the failed solution had broken down the repository validation. Thankfully, I was able to get the repository validation working again. I will have to take notes from my observations and experiments.
